I see how helpful it can be in cutting down time and making things efficient and clear and quick research, but I am still trying to navigate what this balance looks like in the Christian world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I don\u2019t want to be dependent on it and I don\u2019t want it to replace the Holy Spirit. So what does the balance look like then? To be honest, I\u2019m not sure. I\u2019m still navigating that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thinking about my original perceptions towards AI, I started off very against it. I didn\u2019t trust it. I felt like it could steer people to go to it more than they would go to God. But as my dad has been spending more time researching and exploring AI tools, he\u2019s helped me see the good that could come from it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Obviously there is bad that it can do, but that\u2019s the case with anything. In my opinion, it in itself is not bad, it\u2019s how the person is using it. So with proper boundaries and training, it could be used to help to do more for God\u2019s Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Below are some of my experiences with AI that have actually drawn me closer to God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Drawing Scriptures and AI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re a visual person, try drawing out scriptures. You don\u2019t have to be a great artist (I\u2019m not the best). But it was really cool and helped deepen my understanding of a verse when I tried that. It also helped me to meditate on the verse more easily, because I could imagine those pictures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Then, you can take a screenshot of your drawing and upload it into an AI system (Chat GPT, Gemini, Nano Banana, etc) for free, and it can transform your image in such a cool way!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">I did this with <strong>Galatians 2:20<\/strong> below:&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"309\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. AI and Music<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI music was something I was very unsure of and against. Worship is very important to me and helps me to connect to God. So, I didn\u2019t want this technology being what I worshiped with or towards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the first seed planted was from my dad. He created a personalized song for me for my birthday using AI. He spent hours using AI to help him get the lyrics personalized for me and he used another AI tool to create images to help tell the story. It was very thoughtful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I will be honest though, at first my guard was up and I wasn\u2019t allowing myself to enjoy the song. I appreciated the effort but didn\u2019t feel right singing along with and worshiping with the AI.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What\u2019s funny is that nowadays, more people are creating songs using AI and they are even getting added to Spotify. There are times I can notice and just feel off about it and have to change it. But I will say, there were other times that I connected so deeply to God through certain songs and I had no idea until weeks later (after I had been praying and worshiping using the song), that these were AI generated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I felt shock, worry, and skepticism once I found out. <em>Should I stop listening to this song? Should I be more cautious when listening to music and researching the artist first?<\/em> I was humbled to see that it wasn\u2019t about the AI in this situation. Did the song draw me closer to God? Yes. And that&#8217;s what&#8217;s important. You can have a human artist create a Christian song and it doesn\u2019t point you to God. The importance is the heart posture of the one creating it from both sides.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I learned I don\u2019t need to discredit and throw away anything and everything that has AI attached to it. I can use discernment and help from the Holy Spirit because it can be used for good, not just bad. It can be used to lead people closer to God and that\u2019s the point. Yes people can use it the other way, but I don\u2019t want to discredit the rest of it because of that.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That being said, here are some AI songs that have drawn me closer to the Lord:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=DQwh748NXao&amp;list=RDDQwh748NXao&amp;start_radio=1\">Under Your Wings<\/a> &#8211; Grace of Africa&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OzVMgpV3Ljs\">Shield Around Me (Psalm 3)<\/a> &#8211; Spillhouse<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6XLZXWEwavQ&amp;list=RD6XLZXWEwavQ&amp;start_radio=1\">God Got Me!<\/a> &#8211; Diamond District Music<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I hope this shows you there is some good from AI and gives you room to practice that discernment with the Holy Spirit instead of tossing it all away. If there\u2019s a conviction God\u2019s given you to stay completely away, then of course follow that. But if it\u2019s fear of the unknown and just seeing the negative effects (like it was for me), then consider asking God if it\u2019s worth exploring how it can be utilized to spread the word to others in your life or a way to incorporate it in the calling He has for you. Only He can tell you that.
